On Wednesday May 15, 2013 I hosted a morning tea and present certificates of gratitude to worthy recipients on behalf of the Nicklin Community.
We have a great number of people who do so much, for so many but often go unnoticed. This is my way of saying thank you, your efforts are appreciated and our community is a better place because of your hard work.

The Kenilworth Fist Response Group was recognized as a group because it was too difficult to single out a single member. The Kenilworth First Response Group has provided a vital emergency service in the Mary Valley district in the absence of a local Ambulance service for many years. The First Response Group is manned by volunteers, managed by volunteers and operates on a 24 hour roster system.
These volunteers have attended many serious, sometimes fatal events in recent years, and proven their vital role as a community-based response organisation.
Donna Anthony from WILVOS animal rescue accept her award from Peter.
Betty Jenkins thanked for her volunteer work at Sundale
Nambour's Dawn Reed was thanked for her services to Nambour and Noosa Breast Cancer support and being always ready to give a hand to people in need.
Marion McDonald is another Sundale volunteer who is always there to lend a hand.
Bli Bli's Mac Cooper-McKenzie and Julie McKenzie have dedicated many years of their life to the Bli Bli Community.
James Grimes Care Centre recognised with award.
As Patron of Little Athletics Nambour, it was an honour to present Eric Rea with a Community Service Award to recognise his many years of dedicated service to Little Athletics.
I have had a lengthy involvement with Nambour Little Athletics and know how hard Eric works and how dedicated he is to Little A's.
